About Heather Frey Blanton

About Me— I started writing when I was five and have worked as a journalist since high school. Initially, I wrote for my high school and hometown newspapers, the campus newspapers at Western Carolina University and UNC-Chapel Hill, and I also served as editor of the Western Carolinian. While freelancing off and on over the years, I’ve spent most of my career in marketing and communications, which allowed me a challenging mix of journalism, business writing and advertising copywriting. Currently, I am a senior at UNC-Chapel Hill finishing off my degree (finally) in Journalism/Mass Communications with a concentration in Social Media Marketing. I live with my husband and two adventurous boys on a farm outside Raleigh, NC.

  1. Hi Heather,

I probably should have asked permission 1st, but since you’ve linked to my blog, I figured I would link to yours. Please join us tomorrow evening at RDU airport to welcome home some of our local WWII vets. More info at my site:
